Document control
Convention-based names, revisions, statuses and a full change history. Deleted documents can be restored, and published ones can't be deleted.
DocuBIM is a common data environment for construction projects. Drawings, specifications and IFC models in one place, with convention-based names, revisions and a full history of every status change.
You build the name from the fields of your project's convention instead of typing it by hand. Everyone can tell what the document is, which revision it is, and whether it's safe to build from.
The ground-floor plan moves through four statuses, from work in progress to archive. Who can see it and what can be done with it changes at every stage.
A draft visible only to your firm. You can revise it before anyone else sees it.
A manager at your firm approves the release. The whole project team can see the document.
Formal issue by the lead firm on the project. From this point the document cannot be deleted.
A superseded version doesn't disappear. It stays in the history as proof of what was issued and when.
DocuBIM replaces shared-drive folders, email threads and files marked "current".
Convention-based names, revisions, statuses and a full change history. Deleted documents can be restored, and published ones can't be deleted.
Ask a question about the project and the assistant answers with the document and revision it used. If the answer isn't in the documents, it says so directly.
You pick a checklist, for example the Polish technical conditions for residential buildings, and DocuBIM highlights the passages worth checking. The assessment and the responsibility stay with you — DocuBIM does not guarantee compliance with regulations and does not yet issue automatic verdicts.

We're building DocuBIM together with an investor-supervision office from our pilot. The office wants to run its registers where the construction documentation already lives, not in separate spreadsheets and mail folders.
BIUStructural discipline supervisionDocumentation and correspondence in the same task, under the same contract.
Every task fulfils a contract. It's immediately clear who the documentation is for and under which order it's produced.
The firms the office signs contracts with, in one register instead of another spreadsheet.
Letters and emails about a task, with a person responsible and a deadline. Entries are added manually, just like contracts. Automatic mail intake is planned for later.
None of these exist today. We set the order together with the offices working with us in the pilot.
Published documents cannot be deleted. A new revision replaces the previous one, and the history remains.
It answers only from the documents you can see. Every answer points to its source.
You can export the whole project, together with its names, revisions and status history.
A Polish-language interface, Polish working conventions, and a compliance review in development based on Polish regulations.
We're looking for design offices, investor-supervision offices and contractors who want to organise their documentation and registers on a real project. This description is being shaped together with an investor-supervision office from our pilot.
